THE BIODZYNE SYSTEM

A soils capacity to function is reduced by frequent or intense tillage, plant monocultures or loss of diversity, bare soils, heavy equipment traffic and heavy use of synthetic fertilizers and chemicals.

Consider this - approximately 90% of the functions we expect soils to perform are biologically driven.  In other words, 90% of the functions we expect soils to perform are driven by the living fraction of our soils, predominantly microbes, and earthworms. Therefore, in order to have higher functioning soils, this "Life" in our soils must be caused to occur in much greater populations and to be much more active.

The bioDzyne System provides growers with a systematic year-long approach to increasing soil biology and its beneficial activity.  This system requires a shift in production management from our historical “Feed the Plant” approach, to a new production approach of “Feed the Soil, Then Feed the Plant Accordingly”.

The primary driver of soil function is the thousands of species of beneficial microorganisms living in our soils.  Collectively, these microbes naturally occur by weight between 2 and 10 tons per six-inch plow acre in most soils.  That is a lot of biology, however intense tillage, bare soils when fallow, heavy equipment traffic and heavy use of synthetic chemistry reduces this microbial biomass in the soil causing it to be the lower functioning year after year.
